Hey Everyone!
It’s been raining cats and dogs all week long here in Indiana and the storms really messed with my internet, which messed up my work flow. In the end though, the storms passed and I did manage to get a kit done and uploaded to two of my shops.
This kit is very special to me because it was created for a close friend and CT member’s son, who was recently diagnosed with T1D, Type 1 Diabetes. As the daughter and sister of diabetics, and being pre-diabetic myself, I know what it means to live with this disease, so it broke my heart to think of this little boy and his family having to manage it and all that it entails. But while I was feeling sad for them, they were busy learning all they needed to know to get him feeling well, out of the hospital and back on his feet. When I offered my sympathy and help, my friend thanked me and assured me they were fine and well on their way to creating their new normal, which did not surprise me because she, her husband and their son are amazing people.
Still, I wanted to help and the only way I could think to do so was to offer to create a scrap kit for my friend to use to document their experience. She took me up on my offer, gave me a list of what she wanted in the kit and I went to work on A New Normal.

What a nice kit! VERY happy I don’t need it but glad to see a designer do something that might not be a big seller but will fill a need!
