To say that I am excited today would be a big understatement. It’s Sweet Shoppe Designs birthday month and the shop is overflowing with great deals and fabulous kits. Honestly, there is something for every one but there is one item in the shoppe by Darcy Baldwin that is especially thrilling for me: I Love Me Some Loriebug66 Templates with a bonus I Love Me Some Loriebug66 Font.
Loriebug66! Wait, that’s me! When Darcy asked me to collaborate with her on creating templates out of four of my best layouts, I was beyond honored. Since I am a journaler at heart being on her CT was something I set my sights on early, but I never dreamed of being part of the I Love Me Some series. I’m in some extremely impressive and slightly daunting company, and I couldn’t be happier. My thanks to Darcy for giving me such a wonderful gift.
These templates are all based on geometric patterns and are perfect for people who love paper as much as I do. I am a quilter, so I love the look of a pieced background, but creating them can be extremely time consuming. Darcy has taken all that work away and left the fun part for you. The templates are full, (the circle/square one has over 138 layers!), but Darcy has named and numbered everything in an easy to follow manner. All you have to do is start adding your papers, your photos and your ellies. Here is a look at some samples from Darcy’s Creative Team:
There are many more awesome team pages in Darcy’s Gallery at SSD. I hope you will take a minute to go check them out.
Being on Darcy’s CT, I also created a layout for this release. I decided to return to the circle/square template because I wanted to create a sunshine and shadow effect and what represents the sun better than some circles? Here is my layout.
I made this page using a my own kit, Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain, inspired by the great Gary Allen song. The first time I heard it, I loved it. The message is so inspiring and true.
(Thank you for your interest, but this kit has expired.)
If you do create a page with it, please come back and link me up. It is always a thrill to see one of my freebies in action.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me gush a little! Hope you have a great weekend, full of moments worth scrapping.
Thanks Lorie. Your kit is beautiful

This is so nice and pretty.Thank you
lovely, thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
Great kit! Thank you. Saw you listed Yahoo groups. First time to visit and I definitely like what you do. I’m going to use part of this to make a poem and design a post card for absentees from our Sunday School Class. Your “Every storm runs out of rain” was my inspiration today as I’m the one home sick. God bless you for sharing your talent.
My problem is that the storms run out of rain before they get here! We need rain.
Thanks for the great kit!
Even though I knew it was you, I have to say that my favorite page was that blue and yellow when I saw it. I was like, wow, she is such a great “digital” quilter… and check it out.. you are a quilter… wow!
